Back in the Game....blog game...

Finally posting again....between working tons of hours then watching the Olympics from 11pm to 1am my spare time has disappeared. America is kicking ass. Michael Phelps is a beast!

Anyhow back to the Kustom scene. Found this photo of a David Mann painting, I have never seen it before but it is incredible! It speaks volumes and love it.

Also attached is a cool photo of The King and Ali. Don't remember where I poached it from but thank you to whoever posted this. Very cool! Enjoy your weekend and I'll post some smart ass, intellectual, thought provoking posts next week.

Say what?
Insert Expletive Here! Read up on David Mann. Be a man!

TV

Currently there is some real shite on TV overall but also in the auto/motor bike niche. But there is some interest from people like you and me. How can we tell? Discovery just branched off a channel called, Velocity (without much fanfare I must add.) Well as far as I can tell it's 90% re-runs of old shows, and not very good ones at that. Don't get me wrong, the creative process is tough and even getting a low budget show on the telly at all is a huge feat, but please Velocity, don't insult our intelligence. We are a niche society of artists, builders, welders, craftsmen (and women!) so you catch our drift? We are intelligent. Put out some good shite and we will watch. Anyhow overall thank you for dedicating a channel for us gearheads who love the smell of gasoline in the morning! God Bless America. http://velocity.discovery.com/videos/

Alright enough of the rant....check out my home made little trumpet. Should have it running in about a week and start the break in process. Will keep you posted. Meatball over at Hell on Wheels did the motor. It's a 500cc bored out to a 650cc. http://hellonwheelsmc.blogspot.com/
I'll post better photos and more details once it's closer to being on the road.

6 Over

6 Over…a new flick that was debuted at  Born Free 4…you know that little bike show in Southern California. I purchased it there and popped it in to the DVD player as soon as I was home.  The film is great, has great interviews and is shot very well. The only problem I had with it is that is ended! Man this could go on forever, but then again you would be siting on the couch all ay instead of wrenching or riding your scoot! You can get the DVD here:  http://6over.bigcartel.com/
